When the light of the human species vanished, there was a girl... and a spark.
A century has passed since they arrived. Human history has been erased. Children are enslaved on Alien plantations. Some have heard whispers of the existence of a rebel band of humans who roam free in the forests. Most slaves dare not speak of the rebels for fear the mutant guards will grab and make an example of them.
Seventeen-year-old Freya is pulled away in the night not by the mutants, but by her old friend Finn, to join the Saviors, the mythic band of rebel teens. Her bliss fades when she discovers she is the only Savior without a special ability. She is the odd one out, slowly pushing Finn away, defying Damian, the leader of the Saviors, and antagonizing the fierce and beautiful Daphne. In her despair Freya reaches deep within to discover a dark destiny, a truth so heavy it threatens to destroy her.

The Plantation Book 1 eBook Stella Samiotou Fitzsimons
A different spin on body snatching . Taking children as slaves making them super human but for what they don't know as of yet. As all people should be free to live with loving families they want to be free so some children escape from the plantations. They form a group calling themselves Saviors training for war and believing one day to defeat the Aliens that capture the humans and alter them to their liking.I enjoyed reading about the young teens coming together coping with problems voting on things as they live and try to defeat the Aliens and stay free. Sometimes decisions are hard and split and people learn from them and grow . I wait for the next book to find out how Finn and Freya continue to grow as Damien leads them with the new powers they now know Freya seems to have.

The Plantation Book 1 eBook Stella Samiotou Fitzsimons Reviews
The Plantation is a coming of age story in a sci-fi world. The main character, Freya, was easy to identify with despite the fact that she was living in a world of aliens. Her loneliness and the choices that she has to make about herself because she is different from the other human teens are those that many of us know well. The plot is unique and well executed with action throughout. The characters are well developed early in the story so they are easy to follow and understand when the action picks up. What starts a bit slow becomes a 'can't put down' during the second half. Overall, a fun read that will make you pick up The Dark Legion-Book 2 of The Plantation to keep the momentum going!
Ok, like almost everyone else when I started to read the description about this book and I saw the word alien my exact words was "well this is going to a train wreck." For some reason though I decided to take a chance and I was so surprised. This book uses the theme of aliens and makes it interesting again. With the mixture of rebellion, romance, war, oppression, and kick butt super powers the book kept me sucked in until 6 hours later when I finished it.
I liked this. It's a bit different in the way it is expressed through the first person, although I have read books done in this way before, a lot of them don't pull it off very successfully.
I liked the characters, the way their fears are expressed, and the dynamics that are always evident when a small team is forced to work exclusively together. The pace is kept fairly well, and keeps you waiting and guessing how the culmination is going to unfold.
I'm looking forward to reading the next novel.
Talk about an alien invasion! I find myself hooked on the storyline and most of the characters. I have tons of questions and some I am not sure I could rightfully say I should get the answer to, it could detract from the mystery and suspense in the book. But I can't help wonder when did this invasion happen exactly? Who are these aliens really? I know some of questions will eventually be answered, so here comes book two!
I truly enjoyed this book. It is a new take in alien invasion with a twist, and the trust is what makes it so enjoyable. The pace is great and moves you through the story quickly. The plot is very good keeping you glued to the book
The characters are a unique mix that really complement each other well. Freya is a different and unique heroin and is extremely likable.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and will have to buy the next one
The story flowed well. Fast paced and a very interesting unique story. I pre-read books for my granddaughter before giving them to her and even I found this book to be very good even though its target is young folk. Has a little romance but not too much for pre teens. All in all good read!
Aliens have conquered humanity and breed humans for some unknown purpose. Freya was rescued from the Plantation by her friend Finn. They join a group of teens called the Saviors. This teenage group train in a abandon alien camp to protect each other and their freedom.
I thought the author did a fine job of creating interesting characters and providing an emotional setting. The storyline was interesting and I'd say this book fits more in the young adult category. Yes, I enjoyed it but I do not prefer books with cliffhangers or more abrupt endings.
